Blackberry Bramble
Our clients for this project had a fun sense of color displayed throughout their house, so we had to make sure their kitchen would be up to par. When they asked us for green cabinets, we suggested this purple wall color (Blackberry by Sherwin Williams) to create maximum contrast, and we think it paid off! The backsplash tile provides a refreshing pattern element with its repeating blue petal shapes. Previously, the kitchen cabinets were confined to the front area seen here, with the back room housing the refrigerator, a small seating area, and shelving for overflow storage from the kitchen. We widened the opening to combine the two rooms, as well as raised the window on the rear wall to relocate the sink. By making use of both spaces we were able to provide ample countertop space, pantry storage, a coffee bar, and allow for a café table and stools.
