Blue Ricardo
This kitchen previously had a full wall separating it from the kids playroom and other areas of the house. We decided to open up the space and cut back the wall, adding peninsula cabinets with a countertop overhang for seating, more storage, and to allow this family to operate more functionally. We love the contrast of the dark base cabinets painted in Sherwin Williams Cyberspace against the lighter Origami White on the upper cabinets. The quartz countertops with blue veining paired perfectly. The brushed honey bronze hardware and handmade Moroccan inspired glazed subway tile adds a bit more flare to the kitchen. Our client was a coffee fanatic, so we wanted to make a designated space for all her coffee needs, including a customized drawer for coffee pods, mugs, sugar, tea, and stirrers. We included a spice pullout next to the range and another pullout for storing cutting boards and cookie sheets. The client previously had no pantry space, so we included a wall of pantry cabinets to better serve their storage needs, including roll out trays to easily reach items in the back of the shelves.
